Significant improvements can be seen through testing different copy text, form layouts, landing page images and background colours. However, not all elements produce the same improvements in conversions, and by looking at the results from different tests, it is possible to identify the elements that consistently tend to produce the greatest increase in conversions.

Re your question: yes, it makes sense to follow-up as often as you need to to reach the decision-maker. At the early stage of cold calling / emailing / SMS you may have to follow-up 6-12 times with a combination of cold calls and cold emails before you get to kick-started with your prospective customer. Obviously if they unsubscribe or say no then you have to respect this. At later stages, non-response would indicate that your prospective customer no longer sees (or has doubts) about the potential value of the solution you are selling. After following-up 2 times at a later stage, I would make it easy for your prospect to voice their concerns by communicating something like: “I’m struggling to reach you, perhaps we could hop on a call for 5 minutes as I’d like to understand your current thoughts rather than assume you are no longer interested in progressing.”
You can configure the lead scoring rules to match your ideal buyer persona by simply adding or subtracting points for the lead property. For example, if your business is purely local, then for a lead to become your customer the minimum criteria is to be within your service area. Add 20 points. If the lead doesn’t belong to an industry you serve, subtract 10 points. In addition to that, you can also customize scores for email, application and web activity. Bring everything together, and you have a list of hot, warm and cold leads in the sales funnel for your sales reps to focus and close more deals faster.
Of course, implementing this isn't easy. You need to first develop your stories, then decide on how you're going to convey those stories and at what drip-rate. For example, your first email or two might go out on the day they first signup, then one email per day might go out afterwards. How much of that will be story-based and how much will be pitches?
It’s also an e-commerce platform that allows you to sell subscription products, build membership sites (for your online course or whatever), opt-in pages, or e-commerce sites. It’s brilliant for multi-level sales pages, because it has upsells, downsells, cross-sells, offer pages, and offer bumps that are automatically built in with its sales funnel templates.
ClickFunnels has more SEO options than one might expect from a landing page builder. Since I am using this for paid advertising campaigns, I did not expect much in the way of SEO features. I was surprised to find that I could at least edit SEO metadata. But, it is still limiting compared to what I could achieve on WordPress. The Yoast SEO plug-in provides a more comprehensive toolset, and with some SEO know-how, you can achieve a lot of best practices using Yoast.
But if you still use separate tools to email and call your leads, then visibility into their different touchpoints at different stages in the funnel can be difficult to figure out. Use a CRM software with built-in email and phone instead. You can create email templates in your CRM to quickly reach out to leads. Even better, you can automate sending out the first welcome email to new leads using workflows. Modern CRMs also track your emails and notify you when the lead opens your email. This is a nifty feature to know when to take action and move your lead to the next stage. You know, strike while the iron is hot? So now you’ll know if your email is getting read or not. You can also use email metrics to test your email performance, and craft better ones to increase open rates.
This is one of my favorite things about LeadPages. For most people, designing a lead magnet landing page on their website is difficult because then you’d have to mess with the coding on your site and could potentially break something. LeadPages makes it mega easy. They have about a zillion different templates you can customize to create landing page opt-in forms, like this one:
After you’ve met or spoken to the lead, and if they’re committed to buy, you’ll have to quantify the value of the opportunity. This is where the sales pipeline in CRM helps; you can track each opportunity with maximum visibility. Visual sales pipeline provides an overview of your deals by stage, allowing you to see how leads are moving down the sales funnel. It also gives sales reps a quick estimate of their targets, and urges them to close more leads in the funnel.
Click Funnels has a basic email auto-responder in place. So, let’s say someone signed up for a webinar, it can do email sequences and some cool smart triggering so that if someone leaves early, they’ll get a different email sequence and things like that. If you want to do broadcasts and things like that, however, you will need an auto-responder. Russell recommends AWeber or GetResponse. That’s the only tool you should need on top of Click Funnels.
If you try to opt-in with the same information to get another video, they ask you to sign up again. I believe that is their process. Like I said, that creates some friction. Yes, you can enter a fake email, but, if you believe in the quality of the content (and it is really good content; Andrew is one of the best interviewers on the Internet), you won’t.
