Lead nurturing is the process of actively engaging with leads via email campaigns. By interacting with leads, whether top, middle or bottom, with relevant nurturing campaigns you keep them interested and groom them into paying customers. With CRM software, you can utilize tools like sales campaigns to be in contact with leads from the time they enter your funnel to when they make a purchase. Send out scheduled emails based on lead’s behavior, use templates, and track the performance of every campaign in the CRM to turn your prospects into customers.
I’m using both Leadpages and Clickfunnels. I really like click funnel because I can create the entire funnel including one time offers and the really nice order form. One thing I’m really struggling with is that there membership function is so basic it’s almost unusable for me, and there’s no way to integrate with a more sophisticated membership site plug-in or system.

Only ask for the information they need. The more fields you ask visitors to fill out in your form, the less chance you have of them completing your offer. If your conversion requires a form, get the bare minimum of what you need – you can always ask for more info on the thank you page once the deed is done. While most users don’t have a problem providing their name and email address, asking for info about phone numbers and date of birth can cause your drop off rate to skyrocket to 50%. The rule of thumb is not to include more than seven fields in your lead gen form on your landing page.
There are two options: pro pricing and free signup. Signing up is as simple as possible. You just need to create a username and password. Once you get in and start using their tools, you’ll have to upgrade. The free account limits the number of forms you can use. When you hit that limit, you’re requested to upgrade. Otherwise your account won’t work.
Actionetics is ClickFunnels‘ email automation application which is native to ClickFunnels. Creating emails and messages are made easy with the email builder which has an almost similar characteristic to the funnel builder. Another cool thing about Actionetics is its Action Funnels feature. Action Funnels let you hyper-segment contacts to trigger certain actions whether it is internal or external. Internal actions include being removed to an email list, added to email list, etc. External actions include being able to receive email sequences.
But let’s say that you want at least 100 people to purchase from your sales funnel. You can work backwards to see how many people you need at each point along the funnel. If you want 100 sales, you would need 250 people to end up on your landing page (100 divided by 0.40). In order to get 250 people on your landing, your social media ad needs to target 1,250 consumers (250 divided by 0.20).

For content based on Niche website, I’ve been able to setup a membership site for my contractors so they can login and see what I expect out of them when they work on my sites. It’s a crucial part of my business. While I could setup a password protected page for them on my site if I chose, I personally like having a separate site that provides easy to use instructions that cover ALL of my online properties, and not just one specific website.
Hello Mark, I absolutely loved this article. It’s very thorough. I wanted to ask in Step 3 that is “Defining the Criteria for Each Stage” in each sub-step if the customer is not responding to sales call we are sending them back to the previous sub-step. In between each sub-step, can we put one more stage where we are approaching the customer one more time through Email or SMS where in we give them a last chance to move forward and if they don’t reply to it, then we put them back in the previous sub-step?
The reason I call this the ideal scenario is because it assumes that you found Spotify from your Google search for "streaming music." In reality, Spotify worked to attract you to their service through YouTube ads, social media advertising, and other marketing channels. After all these efforts, the Google search was just the last piece that pushed you over the edge.
4. How did they get to my landing page? Consider changing your message depending on where your users come from – a different message might be appropriate for users who arrived at your landing page coming from Google vs. from Twitter or Facebook. Businesses with more landing pages (30+) generate 7x more leads than those with only a handful, so there’s no denying their value. Ideally you want a tailored landing page for each ad group, but that’s a pretty hefty operation, so start where you can. Try beginning with one custom landing page per campaign, and add from there for individual ad groups when resources allow.
The first helps direct attention to the goal of the page -- for you to fill out the form -- in a way that's unobtrusive and feels less like a chore. The second gives this page an SEO boost (search engines will have more content to crawl) and assuages any worry from folks who need to know more about a piece of content before handing over their information, all while not distracting people from the chat window.
By now, your customers trust you (as they should!). They’ve received all the benefits from the top of the funnel (the freebie they registered for on your website), and the middle of the funnel (be it emails with great content from you or otherwise), and they have some sense of who you are as a person. This is where you ask for the sale (hello, bottom of your funnel!). You want to continue to engage, of course, but you also want to offer something of even more value to your customers.
Make it easy to convert. The goal is to make it as easy as possible for visitors to convert, providing as little distance and as few barriers as possible between points A and B. The next step should always be obvious. This strategy varies depending on what your desired conversion is. If it’s form submissions, make that form a piece of irresistible eye candy. If it’s downloads, make a button that is begging to be clicked.
Of course, some of you are makers and originators and you really want to build your own thing and that's totally fine. I would just say, make sure you adhere to direct response principles and philosophies when it comes to creating your funnels, that is something that's super easy, but the best way, as Russell Bronson of ClickFunnels, he's the founder of ClickFunnels and DotComSecrets. The final stage is closing the opportunity in your pipeline. Your prospect either turns into a customer or simply leaves the pipeline as a lost opportunity. If the deal is won, you move the deal to the won stage in the pipeline and begin onboarding your new customer. Some deals may slip through the cracks for reasons that are beyond the control of your sales techniques, like budget constraints. It is important to keep a record of your lost deals too so you can track the reasons why you lost them, and nurture those prospects in the future to win back their business and relationship.
