However, as simple as this definition is, when we talk about “landing pages” in online marketing, we usually mean a page that is specifically designed to receive and convert traffic from an online marketing campaign. Using this alternate definition, a home page wouldn’t qualify as a “landing page“—it isn’t designed to convert traffic from a specific marketing campaign.
The full Etison suite allows you to set up an unlimited number of funnels, meaning that the marketing possibilities are endless. Similarly, you are also able to host an unlimited number of users in your membership funnel, which is very useful. You can also set up an unlimited number of pages per funnel, giving you unparalleled control and power. Put simply, the Etison suite gives you limitless power and access with regards to marketing funnels.
You can then string these Micro Funnels together to a larger sales funnel. With funnel A, you’ve grabbed their email. This gives you the traffic for Funnel B, where you’re asking for a deeper investment of time and money. This then gives you an audience of customers who have already shown interest in your brand, so you can upsell for your main product with funnel C.
Pros: Funnels involve many moving parts, pages, and pieces. Having designed these for years myself, I expected Clickfunnels to be another newbie tool, but it's so so much more. You can easily set up funnels for specific markets, tying them together and tracking in a way that's visual (not Kanban, but close) and easy to understand. Instead of complex interfaces, you have an easy step by step way to get things going quickly. As an experienced user, I was impressed by the value this delivers for people regardless of skill set. There's so many smart elements - for example, preview your page and it shows you the version regardless of cache, so you're not stuck emptying your browser. Few years ago this would have cost you thousands to set up individually, and left you needing tech assistance. Clickfunnels eliminates that and makes it so even a beginner can use this tool.
This is not something I’ve tried, but I have seen others use it successfully. I’m sure you’ve seen this before! Basically, you can have someone text a certain word or phrase to a specific number. They’ll receive a text telling them to respond with their email address and then once they do, they’ll be subscribed! This has a number of really neat uses, like:
When a prospect converts on your first page, they can be segmented and directed to targeted pages to further drive them through your sales channel. They work because, well, contrary to what some inbound marketers believe - not every customer is ready and willing to buy from you or register for your event immediately after they’ve clicked on your PPC or social ad.
Hi, Im from Poland. Do you think Wealthy Affiliate is a good choice for me? Online marketing is my hobby. I’d finalky like to try it out and earn on it. For a year Ive been looking for different courses to get me prepared. Ive come across ClickFunnels and ASM stuff. I dont know whete to find products to sell. Thats my biggest problem. Any advice for me?
Cons: It is soooo expensive. There is no option to have a true website, you basically have to create each page separately and connect them which, there is no easy way to do. Also, I found that the cloud platform they host on would often crash and send my users and error message. Builderall has all the same stuff for way cheaper http://bit.ly/CheapCF
Hi Willie. You make some very good points, and yes they are not exactly the same as ClickFunnels is capable of doing much more. I just put LeadPages (and Samcart) in there because they are both popular and there is some overlap with ClickFunnels (lead generation & checkout pages). So I just wanted to put them in for comparison purposes for people who might want just those specific capabilities, and not the whole kitchen sink that ClickFunnels provides.
There are email warming sequences that include things like personalized value-driven stories, tutorials and even soft pushes to webinars, and of course product suggestions that happen over days or even weeks. The truth is that most prospects won't buy from your website at first glance, especially if they're only just becoming aware of you today. It takes time. Thus, the funnel is a multi-modality process, as there are a variety of relationship-building experiences and "touches" that occur through several stages.
Now all of this landing page theory is nice, but reading about landing page design and actually designing an effective landing page are two very different things. If you want to create landing pages for your marketing campaigns, you have two basic options: 1) build the pages directly on your site or 2) create the landing pages using a landing page tool.
CRM software like Pipedrive has automation tools, activity reminders, and activity schedulers that help you plan and execute activities that coincide with the stages of your sales funnel. Pipedrive also makes it easier to implement your sales funnel by showcasing upcoming and overdue activities, which keeps you focused on the activities throughout the entire sales process that matter.
“I think it’s great that the moment we come to this landing page we immediately know what HubSpot is offering. Both the H1 and the H2 are bolded which is a bit distracting. When viewing the landing page on iPhone the main header text comes up perfectly right under the top gif, which looks really clean. Overall the content does a great job showcasing why we would want these ebook templates. The biggest problems right now is I can’t read the orange text on the FAQ’s, the ebook examples are blurry, and the image behind the form at the bottom distracts from the CTA button. I’d worry people would have a hard time finding that CTA button. I’d also worry that people would not be able to see the arrows to navigate the example ebooks and like to test having less blurry example ebooks. I also think it would be worth testing not having sharing buttons on the landing page, as that could also distract visitors.”
In a recent conversation I had with Perry Belcher, co-founder of Native Commerce Media, he told me that you also need to train your prospects to click on links. For example, you could have them click on a link of what interests them or link them to a blog post or eventually to a product or service that you're selling, but you need to train them to build a habit of clicking on those links from the very beginning.
Much of this is steeped in buyer psychology. The best marketers in the world know that there is a psychological process that must occur for prospects to whip out those credit cards and turn into buyers or even hyper-active buyers. One such person whose perfected this process is Russell Brunson, an "underground entrepreneur" who founded a company called ClickFunnels, a sales funnel SaaS business that empowers marketers from around the world to build marketing automation without all the hassle.
What I love most about the ClickFunnels software, is the drag and drop functionality. If you have any type of internet marketing experience, it’s much easier than using WordPress natively and you literally build the page as you are looking at it. No more “save it” and hit “preview” to see how it looks. WordPress is still what you should be using for content based websites, but ClickFunnels can make a powerful ally if you intend on selling membership programs or products to your customers that visit your website. The customization options are pretty much limitless when building out a proper marketing funnel.
Also known as click-through landing pages, nurturing visitors directly on your site is a more advanced marketing technique. They’re sort of a combination of lead generation and direct sales landing pages. Their purpose is to warm leads through a sales funnel directly on your site. They keep visitors clicking through and converting as you guide them through your on-site sales path. You don’t necessarily need a personalized, segmented email automation campaign you might implement with lead generation (or a dropped sales cart).
Above are some of the most popular Leadpages templates on the web. To be honest, I love these and also love how they are constantly adding new designs to their portfolio. It's exactly why I've been a customer for a long time. You can even sort them by conversion rate, which gives you a little more piece of mind when you are facing decision fatigue already as a marketer.
Not quite. Double opt-in is a function offered by most third-party email service providers (ESP) and enables marketers to send an email after a visitor has signed up, inviting the visitor to confirm his/her email address and consent to receive further email communications. Under the terms of the GDPR, double opt-in is generally not an acceptable means of obtaining active consent. Because exceptions to this rule do exist in certain cases, we recommend you first seek legal counsel to help craft the necessary compliance statements necessary to deploy double opt-ins.
Thanks Matt, yes that’s right. Regarding leads it’s both really! I certainly want to generate more of the right niche/ quality prospects. In short there are 2 distinctly areas; general enquiries which I have a good process for ( but could be improved) the biggest challenge is taking colder leads through the funnel. The sales process can sometimes be quite long, so whilst a well placed offer can work to get someone over line. It’s not very strong for those who are researching etc, hence I need advice about funnel building for regular front of mind contact plus education and industry authority. Does that make sense? Thanks Pete
