You can then string these Micro Funnels together to a larger sales funnel. With funnel A, you’ve grabbed their email. This gives you the traffic for Funnel B, where you’re asking for a deeper investment of time and money. This then gives you an audience of customers who have already shown interest in your brand, so you can upsell for your main product with funnel C.

On MailChimp’s pricing page, the focus is on getting you signed up for free, with an email, username, and password. They want to get you up and running and start using the product as soon as possible. They hope you will help them market themselves by using their products and spreading MailChimp further. Email marketing is often a one-too-many communication platform. The more you use it, the more likely you are to upgrade.
Match the corresponding ad text. Great landing pages use the same keywords from the PPC ad text – the connection should be obvious and the continuity reassures visitors that they’re on the right path. Don’t send someone to a page about camping tents if your ad was about sleeping bags. And don’t send them to a generic page and make them search for the product they were looking for.

People not in your market — Learn how appealing and comprehensible your copy is to those who aren't familiar with your market or product. Do you give them enough context to want to know more? Unfortunately, even if you use the right landing page tool and follow every landing page best practice, there’s no guarantee that your landing pages will work the way you want. People are hard to predict and—even if you think you have a great feel for your target audience—it can be hard to predict what sort of landing page design will deliver the results you need.
Have a flawless design. Information architecture comes into play here, as it’s important for a landing page to have a clear, crisp design that leaves all questions answered without inspiring any new ones. Navigation should be obvious and simple, all required information should be provided, and nothing should come between the visitor and the conversion (aka no pop ups!) If at all possible, visitors should be able to convert in one click. Let every additional click weigh on your conscience like a heart beating beneath a floorboard.

But it’s helpful to have a specific number to compare your actual results with. The user-oriented headline is just a few words, for example, and the page relies on simple bullets, not paragraphs, to communicate the trial's details and benefits. Of course, some of you are makers and originators and you really want to build your own thing and that's totally fine. Any time you encounter this problem, you can send that prospect information that seems designed just for them. A multi-month educational campaign may reduce their content anxiety and nurture them toward a sale. Yes, it’s work up front, but once finished, this campaign will work for you always.
