Not quite. Double opt-in is a function offered by most third-party email service providers (ESP) and enables marketers to send an email after a visitor has signed up, inviting the visitor to confirm his/her email address and consent to receive further email communications. Under the terms of the GDPR, double opt-in is generally not an acceptable means of obtaining active consent. Because exceptions to this rule do exist in certain cases, we recommend you first seek legal counsel to help craft the necessary compliance statements necessary to deploy double opt-ins.

Re your question: yes, it makes sense to follow-up as often as you need to to reach the decision-maker. At the early stage of cold calling / emailing / SMS you may have to follow-up 6-12 times with a combination of cold calls and cold emails before you get to kick-started with your prospective customer. Obviously if they unsubscribe or say no then you have to respect this. At later stages, non-response would indicate that your prospective customer no longer sees (or has doubts) about the potential value of the solution you are selling. After following-up 2 times at a later stage, I would make it easy for your prospect to voice their concerns by communicating something like: “I’m struggling to reach you, perhaps we could hop on a call for 5 minutes as I’d like to understand your current thoughts rather than assume you are no longer interested in progressing.”
Thanks for your perspective, you do bring up some good points for sure. I wouldn’t say the 100 day bootcamp is a get rich quick scheme, but you really need to put in the effort as some people gotten results within that time frame so it’s definitely possible. However on the other hand, almost 95% of the people won’t achieve anything because of various reasons too. I’m not too sure what rubbed you wrong, but the ABC is built on promoting Clickfunnels so that’s for sure.

It's no surprise Unbounce is near the top of this list -- they've actually written the book on creating high-converting landing pages. Chris, thank you so very much for that. I am new to all of this and feel so overwhelmed in trying to figure out what system to use and how to put it all together. I have written 3 ebooks and have a course to go with one. One is a free give-away. I didn’t know where to start, but wanted to just do the free give-away in exchange for the emails. Later on, I thought I’d offer the course that goes with that book. What do you recommend? Do you think I should just stick with Leadpages and collect the emails and then when I’m ready to offer the course, use ClickFunnels? Can the names collected in LeadPages be integrated into ClickFunnels? I’m still trying to work this all out. Thanks for any help/guidance you can give.

If you’re using an email service like Mailchimp, then you might be stumped on how to send content upgrades without adding subscribers to a gazillion lists and thereby paying for your subscribers multiple times. LeadPages makes this a very simple fix. To do so, you just need to create a new “LeadPage” or “LeadBox” in LeadPages and then upload your freebie, which will automatically be emailed to your new subscriber after they opt-in. When a prospect converts on your first page, they can be segmented and directed to targeted pages to further drive them through your sales channel. They work because, well, contrary to what some inbound marketers believe - not every customer is ready and willing to buy from you or register for your event immediately after they’ve clicked on your PPC or social ad.
Of course, regardless of how they enter into your funnel, your goal as a marketer is to move them through the multiple stages that will take them from prospect to buyer. And once they're aware of you, you need to build their interest. To do this, you need to establish a relationship with the customer. You might have enticed them with a great offer (lead magnet) to grab their email address, but actually moving them through the funnel is a far greater challenge.

Unbounce is one of the easiest to use, and lets you create landing pages without any IT experience. They have best-practices templates available that you can customize (or design your own page entirely from scratch), and flexible pricing (including a free plan for sites with limited traffic). Unbounce also integrates with Google Analytics for tracking your traffic, and Qualaroo for gathering user input.

Wanting to know if since my goal is to increase the number of signing ups for a free webinar is Landing pages likely the best option and would it make more sense to have them signing up directly from the landing page or should I just link them from the landing page directly to the sign up page on my site?
