If you do an interview or guest post, you can send people directly to your landing page. It doesn’t help you as much to send people to your blog or website’s homepage. People sent directly to your homepage have too many options, may not find what they’re interested in, and more often than not, will leave. So, if you’re doing a podcast interview or guest post, it would be better to send people to a landing page where they can opt-in. Once you have someone’s email address, you’re able to communicate and build a relationship with them. It’s much different than if they simply visited your blog once, two weeks ago. You catch my drift?

As you can see, the layout is here on the right hand side, you can see the control panel or the toolbar, and all of these things, obviously, have everything to do with what's on the page here. Once you're on the page you have the settings menu, it's going to be a lot of stuff here. You don't always have to just go through these things one thing at a time, a lot of times these are going to be already preset the way you like them, but the meta tags in the social settings you always want to update. So that, for instance the social image is when you copy and paste a URL into a social media platform like Facebook and that's how picture shows up sometimes. Well, that's where that picture comes from. Then of course, up here where it says 'start here', you can see that that's what's here as well.
Once the prospect is in the proverbial funnel, you've peaked their awareness. That's the first stage of the funnel. However, getting a prospect aware of you is no simple feat. Depending upon how they've arrived to your website (organically or through a paid ad), those customers might view your funnel differently and your opt-in rates will vary significantly. 
Then you have a thank you page. This shows your appreciation for your customer, while also encouraging a deeper relationship with your business. For example, someone gave you their email on the Leadbox™ in exchange for a free eBook. You can now have a page that thanks them for signing up, gives them the eBook, and encourages them to purchase the associated workbook that enhances their eBook purchase. Re your question: yes, it makes sense to follow-up as often as you need to to reach the decision-maker. At the early stage of cold calling / emailing / SMS you may have to follow-up 6-12 times with a combination of cold calls and cold emails before you get to kick-started with your prospective customer. Obviously if they unsubscribe or say no then you have to respect this. At later stages, non-response would indicate that your prospective customer no longer sees (or has doubts) about the potential value of the solution you are selling. After following-up 2 times at a later stage, I would make it easy for your prospect to voice their concerns by communicating something like: “I’m struggling to reach you, perhaps we could hop on a call for 5 minutes as I’d like to understand your current thoughts rather than assume you are no longer interested in progressing.”

Chris is right, it is not the cost, it is the investment you are willing to make into your business here. Personally, I took the attitude of it being too costly at first, and trust me, I can afford it, I am just frugal. But now, looking at the powerful software and tool that it is, well, I am switching from Thrive to ClickFunnels. Personally speaking, my issue at first was based on my poor attitude of spending money, instead of a better and smarter attitude of investing into my business online…
