I'm not sure how the algorithm works (or if there's one at all), but while I was filling it out, I had some anxiety about not qualifying. Once I found out I did, I was excited to fill out the form, which I'm sure most people who are in debt and using this tool are. The number and name of each stage may vary based on business type and sales process. But what the sales funnel represents is straightforward. You start with a lot of prospects who know your business. Sales reps qualify those prospects, and out of those, only some will proceed to the next stage to have a conversation with you. As sales reps continue to nurture leads towards the close, they trickle down the funnel until you’re left with actual customers.

I have a product-based business (skincare to be precise) and I’ve been doing a lot of research on sales funnels over the past few days but only ever come across examples for service-based businesses and struggle to apply those to my business. Cons: The customer support has gotten worse recently. They used to have live chat on their site, now they use some weird ticketing software that I do not like. I will say this, there support is very good but a lot slower than I'd like. When they do get back to me, it typically solved my problem immediately. But sometimes it takes a full day or more for them to respond. This can be valuable lost time for a business, especially if you're running ads to a page that stops working.
A good landing page should naturally lead a user to the conclusion that converting is in their best interest. To do that, however, you need to know exactly what you want them to do and why they might not want to do it. Then, throughout your landing page, you address their concerns and sell them on the value of what they get in exchange for converting.
Then you have a thank you page. This shows your appreciation for your customer, while also encouraging a deeper relationship with your business. The fact that you go into so much detail about Funnel hacks, both the pro’s and the con’s really makes me believe in it and you. It sounds like something I will definitely consider as soon as I get my own product to sell (which I am still working on at the minute). And if it works then it’s worth every penny I say.
The sales funnel simply depicts how leads traverse through your sales process from start to close. It’s only a visual representation of the numbers game in the form of a funnel; there’s more than meets the eye. If you analyse the number of leads who enter your funnel and the number who convert to customers, more than likely you’ll find there’s a huge dip. Sometimes prospects drop out of the sides of your funnel when their needs don’t match your services. While it’s nearly impossible to retain every prospect who enters your funnel, it’s however important for your sales team to make efforts to retain the ones who are ready to buy.

Thanks Matt, the client attraction stage is the big thing. With relatively low client numbers I’m able nurture and provide relevant & specific information. I look arrange phone or in person meetings. So attracting clients who can identify with a specific or range of personal (to them) challenges which I’m able to demonstrate I can solve is perhaps the primary focus for me at the prospect acquisition point. I hope that makes sense:)
Look gorgeous and act classy. Looks may not be everything, but they do count for something in landing page design. Why is it that an attractive man can hit it off with a woman using the same line that might dub a less aesthetically pleasing guy a “creeper?” The truth is that, despite what we teach children, appearance alters perception. Your landing page should not come off creepy, it should come off super classy. If the visitor is a chick in a bar, you want to wow her and take her home…. for a riveting game of Scrabble!
You also need specific expectations for your landing page, on which to gauge its success. These expectations can be based on previous experience, anecdotal evidence, or simply wishful thinking. But it’s helpful to have a specific number to compare your actual results with. This could be the total number of conversions, or the number of people who make it past your landing page, or some other number, based on your own goals.

Depending on your business and industry, you could have 1,000 prospects at the top of your funnel. However, towards the end of your funnel, you may have 25 prospects. While these 25 prospects are more likely to convert than the ones at the top of the sales funnel, at the very end, there may only be five customers who’ve made a purchase and only two that are repeat customers.
For example, an ecommerce site might model their visitors in a funnel, and identify that there is a large dropoff in users between visiting the shopping cart and actually completing the transaction. Using this data, the company can then form hypothesis as to why this is the case and test ideas for improving conversion rate, such as reducing form fields, establishing trust with seals, or offering limited time offers.
