4. How did they get to my landing page? Consider changing your message depending on where your users come from – a different message might be appropriate for users who arrived at your landing page coming from Google vs. from Twitter or Facebook. Businesses with more landing pages (30+) generate 7x more leads than those with only a handful, so there’s no denying their value. Ideally you want a tailored landing page for each ad group, but that’s a pretty hefty operation, so start where you can. Try beginning with one custom landing page per campaign, and add from there for individual ad groups when resources allow.
Pros: Easy drag and drop platform. One of the best things about CF is that you can share a template to another user. We have benefitted greatly from having funnels shared to us by other users so that we didn't have to build it from the ground up - change it to our look and feel, but the funnel itself is already in place. Also, their tech support is out of this world. Incredibly helpful for any question!! If they can't provide a link to already-created-FAQ help, they make a simple video from inside your own account and SHOW you how to do what you are trying to get help with. Highly recommend CF. Hello Mark, I absolutely loved this article. It’s very thorough. I wanted to ask in Step 3 that is “Defining the Criteria for Each Stage” in each sub-step if the customer is not responding to sales call we are sending them back to the previous sub-step. In between each sub-step, can we put one more stage where we are approaching the customer one more time through Email or SMS where in we give them a last chance to move forward and if they don’t reply to it, then we put them back in the previous sub-step?
Workflow automation tools can help you manage prospects through a sales funnel by helping you complete repetitive tasks in your sales process that are triggered by certain actions. For instance, in the Awareness stage, you may want your prospect to feel important after you’ve first met, so you send a “Nice to Meet You” email. You can automate this task in your CRM. For email template ideas, see our article on Sales Email Templates.
Here’s an example. To create your prospect experience in the Awareness stage, think about and articulate what you will do or say to your prospects when you first meet them. Then think about how your interaction will make them feel. Consider your prospects and their needs as you’re doing this. Then, document your actions and your prospect’s experience for this stage. Repeat this throughout the entire sales funnel.
Hi Terence, first off I would like to say that an interesting and thorough review. The fact that you go into so much detail about Funnel hacks, both the pro’s and the con’s really makes me believe in it and you. It sounds like something I will definitely consider as soon as I get my own product to sell (which I am still working on at the minute). And if it works then it’s worth every penny I say.
Pros: ClickFunnels has a broader scope compared to LeadPages (which is brilliant for lead generation) and it's easier to add upsells and downsells. One of the best things about ClickFunnels is that you can navigate it and create sales funnels with no coding required - no need for HTML, CSS or technical savvy knowledge. THere's a multitude of free templates and paid templates for a professional design even if you don't have any design skills; the drag-and-drop editor stands out.
A sales funnel reflects the prospect’s journey or path that takes them from awareness to customer. It encompasses actions you take to create this journey or experience. Pipeline stages are the stages of opportunities or deals. They reflect the sales process from the salesperson’s perspective. See our article, 8 Sales Pipeline Stages Every Sales Team Should Have.
But, given the volume of leads that fill your funnel, sales teams have a hard time converting leads into customers because they cannot discern the hot from the cold. This results in unqualified hot leads in the top of the funnel that either drop out due to slow response times, or remain stuck in the middle of the funnel eventually becoming cold leads. For a business this means missing out on golden ($) opportunities. And, that’s just one leak. There are more ways you lose leads in the sales funnel.

Now that leads can be organized and scored in your CRM, the next step for sales reps will be to reach out to the priority leads over phone or email. Tracking conversations—when was the last email or phone conversation, what did you speak, did they read your email—is an advantageous feature to know how to strategically plan your next course of action.
The header must be fully descriptive of what you're selling. Because, if the visitor doesn't understand exactly what you do immediately upon landing, they'll either bounce out of laziness or skim-read the rest of the page until they get the gist. Once they get that gist, they'll likely bounce anyway because they're still too lazy to re-read the page from the beginning.
“1. Use a sticky navigation bar: A ‘sticky’ navigation bar can help people explore ‘Edgar’ in a comfortable and controlled manner. People like to explore websites without them feeling that they are losing control. Even if they never use the navigation bar, it can still have a positive impact on the overall experience. Not having control can potentially trigger a feeling of stress which can cause people to leave the site and therefore increase bounce rates. (Think of the analogy of a GPS in your car)
It’s easily integrated with a custom domain, so you can set up your landing pages, membership site and/or sales funnels on your own website, or a custom domain. It has a plugin that allows you to integrate it with WordPress as well, although you can’t take payments on your own WordPress site if you charge your customers for services, as they have their own set of SSL requirements when taking payments. You can also start your funnel on your website, and host the next steps of the funnel where payments are taken on the default platform for ClickFunnels.
This funnel occupies a strange niche, yet you can use its core framework to build million-dollar funnels which sell various things such as coaching programs, local services, info products, and much more. If you’re interested in earning $17,947 per day with an effective FunnelHacks marketing funnel, then read on for our review of this interesting system.
A sales funnel illustrates your customer’s journey and works by increasing the level of engagement and trust in each interaction with your prospect. It typically contains six stages, starting with awareness and ending with loyal customers. Each stage has more meaningful activities than the last. While not all prospects will reach the end of the funnel, those who do are actively engaged and therefore more serious about buying your product or service.
Like many of the other landing pages in this post, Shopify's trial landing page keeps it simple. The user-oriented headline is just a few words, for example, and the page relies on simple bullets, not paragraphs, to communicate the trial's details and benefits. There are only a few fields you need to fill out before you get started. All of this makes it easier for you to get to the point: selling online with their tool.
Hello – at first looking at the Imbound plugins for landing pages – call-to-action -and Imbound forms- I thought “what a great system plugin for WordPress. However – after creating a landing page and then tring to utilize the call to action by placing the shortcode in the landing page – it does not show up.These are the most important function of them all! So then I created an Imbound form instead for Email and although it seems to work – I find out later when testing it does not send out any email when tested. I wondered why I did not get any responses – not even one! Not to my notification email or to the one who subscribes. Unfortunately I jumped the gun and advertised the landing page, and now I do not know whether I have gotten any responses or not. I tried to get support earlier on when attempting to use these plugins because the help videos just disappeared after navigating away one time. I cannot find any directions or videos – nor can I get any support response. So it seems to be a good idea gone bad to me. Mistakes and malfunctions can and do happen with a lot of plugins, but the worst thing in the world is not getting any support what-so-ever! So I suppose there is not a lot of “going Premium” with these plugins.
Are fast as Ferraris. Speed is essential, as loading times have a tremendous affect on bounce rates. An excellent landing page is built like a bullet, so get out your stop watch and get your landing page moving at a healthy clip. Reduce load times by not making your images files any larger than they have to be, using cache tools, and using a speedy web host (some are a lot faster than other).
Your sales funnel is healthy if you have enough prospects going through it. Include more than one call to action (CTA) on your website. Chances are that your website visitors will be at different stages of the customer journey. Some might be ready to call or email while others might be researching. Make sure to include offers like free eBooks or whitepapers to capture names and email addresses for those who aren't quite ready to talk to your sales team.
Obtaining consent for tracking cookies is not a requirement of GDPR but rather the ePrivacy Directive. Cookie consent is a current topic for ePrivacy Regulation, likely to replace the Directive next year, requiring all browsers to regulate cookie consent rather than individual websites. However, being that many of you currently use third-party tracking code and analytics, our team is exploring options to build this functionality into our product in the future.
Unbounce also features a powerful mobile optimization design platform, which is becoming increasingly important in today’s mobile-centered world. Furthermore, it integrates with most customer relationship management (CRM) platforms like Salesforce (and you really should be using a CRM) as well as Google Analytics, Zoho, Campaign Monitor and 60+ other 3rd party apps, allowing you to track your landing page results and leads in a variety of ways.
This means that you can recognize a LeadPage (Landing Page) from a mile away and when people (the normal non-internet marketers) start noticing the similarity between all these page designs it’ll be more obvious that people are trying to squeeze a lead out of them. Having said that, I’m confident the crew at LeadPages will be smart enough to adapt and start churning out more high-quality pages more often to give their users more variety.
Netflix changes its background image based on what movies and shows are being promoted. Their site is very simple. There’s a risk reversal right off the bat. You can cancel any time and not be locked into anything. You can try it free for a month. They’re not saying, “Hey, this is movies streaming online.” They’re relying on the power of their brand.
