The final stage is closing the opportunity in your pipeline. Your prospect either turns into a customer or simply leaves the pipeline as a lost opportunity. If the deal is won, you move the deal to the won stage in the pipeline and begin onboarding your new customer. Some deals may slip through the cracks for reasons that are beyond the control of your sales techniques, like budget constraints. It is important to keep a record of your lost deals too so you can track the reasons why you lost them, and nurture those prospects in the future to win back their business and relationship.
Depending on your business and industry, you could have 1,000 prospects at the top of your funnel. However, towards the end of your funnel, you may have 25 prospects. While these 25 prospects are more likely to convert than the ones at the top of the sales funnel, at the very end, there may only be five customers who’ve made a purchase and only two that are repeat customers.
I run a non-profit and am super frustrated with all of the donation page platforms…the customizability of the donation page is extremely limited, even with the best of them who pride themselves on offering customization. Is there a way to use any of these Landing Page creators (Leadpages, Thrive, Samcart) as a donation page that offers one-time or recurring donations? I already have
One important warning: Let’s not forget that you are in business. And as a business owner you have something of value to offer your customers in exchange for their cash. That’s a fair and equitable relationship. So please don’t take my nurturing metaphor too far here. Your goal isn’t simply to placate your list — your goal is to build a profitable business that provides VALUE in exchange for VALUE.
Pros: Clickfunnels helps you build & test Marketing funnels at scale with ease. Its easy to setup & get going with your first marketing funnel. It's features like the autoresponder, A/B testing of landing page variations, is awesome. There is a great community to around it - it helps anybody with a problem & how to solve it. There are courses on using the funnel itself - which makes it probably the best education system for setting up marketing funnels & making them work for your business. There is a set of partners or service provides who can do it all you as well.
Cons: The customer support has gotten worse recently. They used to have live chat on their site, now they use some weird ticketing software that I do not like. I will say this, there support is very good but a lot slower than I'd like. When they do get back to me, it typically solved my problem immediately. But sometimes it takes a full day or more for them to respond. This can be valuable lost time for a business, especially if you're running ads to a page that stops working.
Prospecting and marketing are all the things you do to get people into the first of your sales funnel stages. Note that stages are broken into two or more steps wherever possible. A demo could be called a single stage, but in real life it involves a lot of things: contacting the customer, sending reminders, doing the demo, and then following up. Whatever your own sales stages look like, the support you need in managing them will be the same.
