Not quite. Double opt-in is a function offered by most third-party email service providers (ESP) and enables marketers to send an email after a visitor has signed up, inviting the visitor to confirm his/her email address and consent to receive further email communications. Under the terms of the GDPR, double opt-in is generally not an acceptable means of obtaining active consent. Because exceptions to this rule do exist in certain cases, we recommend you first seek legal counsel to help craft the necessary compliance statements necessary to deploy double opt-ins.

I’m using both Leadpages and Clickfunnels. I really like click funnel because I can create the entire funnel including one time offers and the really nice order form. One thing I’m really struggling with is that there membership function is so basic it’s almost unusable for me, and there’s no way to integrate with a more sophisticated membership site plug-in or system.

Of course, some of you are makers and originators and you really want to build your own thing and that's totally fine. I would just say, make sure you adhere to direct response principles and philosophies when it comes to creating your funnels, that is something that's super easy, but the best way, as Russell Bronson of ClickFunnels, he's the founder of ClickFunnels and DotComSecrets. For content based on Niche website, I’ve been able to setup a membership site for my contractors so they can login and see what I expect out of them when they work on my sites. It’s a crucial part of my business. While I could setup a password protected page for them on my site if I chose, I personally like having a separate site that provides easy to use instructions that cover ALL of my online properties, and not just one specific website.


Let’s be clear—leads won’t automatically move down the funnel. Sales reps have to continue to do their part of selling and allow the CRM to update the lead’s stage in the funnel by completing certain actions. You can setup workflow automations in the CRM to change lead stages. For example, after you’ve contacted a lead, the CRM will automatically update the lead’s stage based on the last activity.
Then of course, when you're done you hit save and you exit. And opt-in funnels always have thank you pages, so that when people do opt-in the next page sets expectations, gives instruction, allows them to download the resource that you promised them. So, you can provide buttons, images. Inside the buttons you've always got a opportunity to provide a downloadable URL, which also you can host inside of ClickFunnels via your digital assets menu. And the digital assets menu is, of course, inside your account menu here. So much flexibility, so much power inside of ClickFunnels. It's really outrageous.

Hello Sunil.. thank you for your feedback, it’s great to hear that you are finding this article useful. Re your question: yes, it makes sense to follow-up as often as you need to to reach the decision-maker. At the early stage of cold calling / emailing / SMS you may have to follow-up 6-12 times with a combination of cold calls and cold emails before you get to kick-started with your prospective customer. Obviously if they unsubscribe or say no then you have to respect this. At later stages, non-response would indicate that your prospective customer no longer sees (or has doubts) about the potential value of the solution you are selling. After following-up 2 times at a later stage, I would make it easy for your prospect to voice their concerns by communicating something like: “I’m struggling to reach you, perhaps we could hop on a call for 5 minutes as I’d like to understand your current thoughts rather than assume you are no longer interested in progressing.”
If I was just starting out I would recommend starting with LeadPages so you have pre-made designs which are less customizable so you can get your head around what’s going on. But if you’ve had a bit of experience or are in the more advanced level, then I think getting a mid ranged ClickFunnels plan would be more appropriate. Either way, I don’t think you should cancel one account before the other, until you have had some time to play around and try them both out.

I have a product-based business (skincare to be precise) and I’ve been doing a lot of research on sales funnels over the past few days but only ever come across examples for service-based businesses and struggle to apply those to my business. I do offer a free skincare guide at opt in but can’t think of anything else for the follow up emails to create trust as well as a limited time offer. Would you have any suggestions?
