Landing pages are often linked to social media, e-mail campaigns or search engine marketing campaigns in order to enhance the effectiveness of the advertisements. The general goal of a landing page is to convert site visitors into sales or leads. If the goal is to obtain a lead, the landing page will include some method for the visitor to get into contact with the company, usually a phone number, or an inquiry form. If a sale is required, the landing page will usually have a link for the visitor to click, which will then send them to a shopping cart or a checkout area. By analyzing activity generated by the linked URL, marketers can use click-through rates and conversion rate to determine the success of an advertisement.
If you’re using an email service like Mailchimp, then you might be stumped on how to send content upgrades without adding subscribers to a gazillion lists and thereby paying for your subscribers multiple times. LeadPages makes this a very simple fix. To do so, you just need to create a new “LeadPage” or “LeadBox” in LeadPages and then upload your freebie, which will automatically be emailed to your new subscriber after they opt-in. It’s an excellent solution if you want to grow your list with content upgrades, but don’t know how to figure it out tech-wise.
The first helps direct attention to the goal of the page -- for you to fill out the form -- in a way that's unobtrusive and feels less like a chore. The second gives this page an SEO boost (search engines will have more content to crawl) and assuages any worry from folks who need to know more about a piece of content before handing over their information, all while not distracting people from the chat window.
You can expect this post to be updated quite regularly as I am really excited to see where this goes. Like I mentioned earlier, I’ll endeavour to keep this post updated as much as possible as new features and changes come up for both companies. I think the internet marketing space will be changing a fair bit in the coming 12-24 months as more people start new online platforms like these to compete for a slice of the pie. *(Also a note, that I am using affiliate links within this post, so if you do want to go purchase either of these two powerhouses, clicking a link will pass me off a little commission!)*

Unbounce also features a powerful mobile optimization design platform, which is becoming increasingly important in today’s mobile-centered world. Furthermore, it integrates with most customer relationship management (CRM) platforms like Salesforce (and you really should be using a CRM) as well as Google Analytics, Zoho, Campaign Monitor and 60+ other 3rd party apps, allowing you to track your landing page results and leads in a variety of ways.
Look gorgeous and act classy. Looks may not be everything, but they do count for something in landing page design. Why is it that an attractive man can hit it off with a woman using the same line that might dub a less aesthetically pleasing guy a “creeper?” The truth is that, despite what we teach children, appearance alters perception. Your landing page should not come off creepy, it should come off super classy. If the visitor is a chick in a bar, you want to wow her and take her home…. for a riveting game of Scrabble!
CRM software like Pipedrive has automation tools, activity reminders, and activity schedulers that help you plan and execute activities that coincide with the stages of your sales funnel. Pipedrive also makes it easier to implement your sales funnel by showcasing upcoming and overdue activities, which keeps you focused on the activities throughout the entire sales process that matter.
Marketing your website is a complex process. As SEO becomes increasingly difficult and Social Media becomes increasingly time-consuming, nothing could be more important than spending time mapping out your very own “Content Marketing Sales Funnel.” In this post, I’ll walk you through the essential steps for building an online sales funnel to help you convert more of your tire-kickers into happy, repeat customers with massive Lifetime Customer Value. And, while I’m at it, I’m going to show you more pictures of funnels than you’ll probably ever see again. 🙂 Let’s get started…
“Content: Great headline. List style headline provides clear value to site visitors. In addition, information like the number of pages gives an impression that the content is loaded with tons of value and time investment estimate assure them that it only takes minimal investment (time) from their end. Testimonial provides a concrete social proof which gives your site visitor the confidence before they feel save to pass you their email address.
Creating my first Clickfunnel, which was a Video Sales Page with an upsell, downsell, and offer wall (arguably one of the more complex funnels) took me a good 6–8 weeks…that was with working on it a little every day, and having lots of back and forth with their awesome support team. It also probably took me longer because I got impatient (which Russell Brunson says happens with most entrepreneurs) and ditched his admittedly fun and useful Clickfunnels game (their training tool) to just start building.
I’ve checked out a few of Russell Brunson’s content, on youtube, and he seems to really know his stuff. To be honest, at first I was skeptical and thought he could be a fraud but then I had a read of his book. It was actually really interesting and full of useful advice, also I seen that he’s speaking at Grant Cardone’s 10X seminar (or something like that), I know he’s legit so Russell – and his program – must be too!
However, many businesses prefer not to add dozens or hundreds of additional marketing pages to their website—especially if they don’t plan on running a particular marketing campaign forever. In addition, creating a landing page on most websites can be a real headache, so unless you have solid design and coding skills, building your landing pages on your own website might be overwhelming.
There’s a better solution: Build out an automated email follow-up campaign that speaks directly to this objection. Any time you encounter this problem, you can send that prospect information that seems designed just for them. A multi-month educational campaign may reduce their content anxiety and nurture them toward a sale. Yes, it’s work up front, but once finished, this campaign will work for you always.
