Marketing your website is a complex process. A branding line similar to Mint.com’s, MailChimp’s slogan Being yourself makes all the difference really has nothing to do with the tool. That might be a good thing. It’s aspirational marketing not unlike Grasshopper above. It’s about identity, freedom, and self-expression — ideas that are bigger than a product.
Follow-up with a thank you page. The thank-you page is a great way to guide visitors to other related material on your website that they may be interested in. Providing this added info in the initial landing page would have been distracting and could have led visitors away from making a conversion. However, now that you’ve sealed the deal, the thank-you page is the perfect place to suggest related products, guides and information your audience may find helpful, or links to other parts of your site, such as your company blog.

Hello! Great article! I sell organic food products that we have been manufacturing in Maine for 14 years. Our internet business has always done great, but could be phenomenal. I’m new to building funnels, buying ads and marketing them. Would you suggest SamCart or CF for the type of product I offer? Also, I would imagine that once a sales funnel is in place, ads would still need to be made in order to promote them? And if so, do any of the above platforms offer this type of support? Thank you 🙂
That’s a fantastic question. When someone comes in and joins your list, that person is yours. Russell and his team do not add that person to their database in any way. Your data is 100% yours. It would be both illegal and immoral for Russell and his staff members to do anything with it. You don’t need to bother about them emailing to your list or sending your customers anything; those customers are all yours.
You also need specific expectations for your landing page, on which to gauge its success. These expectations can be based on previous experience, anecdotal evidence, or simply wishful thinking. But it’s helpful to have a specific number to compare your actual results with. This could be the total number of conversions, or the number of people who make it past your landing page, or some other number, based on your own goals.

Obtaining consent for tracking cookies is not a requirement of GDPR but rather the ePrivacy Directive. Cookie consent is a current topic for ePrivacy Regulation, likely to replace the Directive next year, requiring all browsers to regulate cookie consent rather than individual websites. Thanks Matt, yes that’s right. Regarding leads it’s both really! I certainly want to generate more of the right niche/ quality prospects. In short there are 2 distinctly areas; general enquiries which I have a good process for ( but could be improved) the biggest challenge is taking colder leads through the funnel. The sales process can sometimes be quite long, so whilst a well placed offer can work to get someone over line. It’s not very strong for those who are researching etc, hence I need advice about funnel building for regular front of mind contact plus education and industry authority. Does that make sense?
