When a lead enters the CRM, it’s marked “new”. Every lead in this stage is in the top of the funnel. As sales reps interact with leads, they’re subsequently moved to the next stages. Filters and views in the CRM reveals the number of leads at every stage in the sales funnel to help you analyze their progress—how many new leads are in the funnel, how many have engaged with sales reps, how many are in the bottom of the funnel and ready to close, and how many need to be nurtured. This knowledge about your sales funnel becomes an actionable tool allowing you to plan your sales strategies.

1. What is the goal? In an ideal world, what would visitors do upon reaching your landing page? Would they buy something? Fill out a form? Sign up for a newsletter? Download an ebook? Toss aside their keyboard, break out a harmonica, and play a sweet blues rift? The first step for any strategy is determining goals. (You have to define conversions before you can track conversions.)
However, many businesses prefer not to add dozens or hundreds of additional marketing pages to their website—especially if they don’t plan on running a particular marketing campaign forever. In addition, creating a landing page on most websites can be a real headache, so unless you have solid design and coding skills, building your landing pages on your own website might be overwhelming.
Interior design books will often suggest different colors for various rooms and moods – energizing red for a dining room to inspire dynamic conversation, yellow for a cheerful, relaxed kitchen. This same color theory should be implemented into your site design. Many marketers claim that certain button colors like green or red increase landing page conversions, but ultimately you want to focus on the contrast of the button color in relation to your background color. The more contextually related your page headlines are to the calls-to-action people clicked on, the more likely those prospects are to make the connection that your landing page is for them. A great way to ensure your message match is strong is to write your ad CTA on a piece of paper and your landing page headline on another piece of paper underneath. Then look at your ad copy and turn the page. Does your paper click lead to a matched experience?
This is one of my favorite things about LeadPages. For most people, designing a lead magnet landing page on their website is difficult because then you’d have to mess with the coding on your site and could potentially break something. LeadPages makes it mega easy. They have about a zillion different templates you can customize to create landing page opt-in forms, like this one:
ClickFunnels limits your access to certain types of pages and funnels based on your account level(ClickFunnels pricing of $97+ gets you all the access), but you get full split testing capabilities. The problem with Leadpages Pricing is that you don't get split testing capabilities at their startup price point. This is not good, nor something you want to miss out on. You have to split test as a marketer or you are flying blind. I explain more in this post on split testing.
There are two options: pro pricing and free signup. Signing up is as simple as possible. You just need to create a username and password. Once you get in and start using their tools, you’ll have to upgrade. The free account limits the number of forms you can use. When you hit that limit, you’re requested to upgrade. Otherwise your account won’t work.
