Landing page optimization (LPO) is one part of a broader Internet marketing process called conversion optimization, or conversion rate optimization (CRO), with the goal of improving the percentage of visitors to the website that become sales leads and customers. A landing page is a webpage that is displayed when a potential customer clicks an advertisement or a search engine result link. This webpage typically displays content that is a relevant extension of the advertisement or link. LPO aims to provide page content and appearance that makes the webpage more appealing to target audiences.
People not in your market — Learn how appealing and comprehensible your copy is to those who aren't familiar with your market or product. Do you give them enough context to want to know more? This will help cover the common problem where your site over-assumes base-level knowledge on behalf of your audience. The problem with Leadpages Pricing is that you don't get split testing capabilities at their startup price point. This is not good, nor something you want to miss out on. You have to split test as a marketer or you are flying blind. I explain more in this post on split testing.
Most likely it’s an issue with the customers not knowing what to do or what to expect. Also, it could be that your leads just don’t know what the offer is. The other possibility is that your bridge page is not per positioning the offer correctly. Again, if sales is the problem you have to look at what you are promising before you send them to the sales page.

Chris, thank you so very much for that. I am new to all of this and feel so overwhelmed in trying to figure out what system to use and how to put it all together. I have written 3 ebooks and have a course to go with one. One is a free give-away. I didn’t know where to start, but wanted to just do the free give-away in exchange for the emails. Later on, I thought I’d offer the course that goes with that book. What do you recommend? Do you think I should just stick with Leadpages and collect the emails and then when I’m ready to offer the course, use ClickFunnels? If you really want to learn more about Clickfunnels and the magic sauce behind how online funnels work, I strongly recommend reading Russel Brunson’s work — even if you don’t end up getting Clickfunnels for your business, this book is a must-read. It is jam-packed full of best practices, insider tips and more on how Brunson (the Founder of Clickfunnels) built his multi-million dollar funnel empire. I strongly recommend it.
Basically, the man and legend Russell Brunson asked 100 Clickfunnels millionaires (what he calls his 2 Comma Club winners because they made a million dollars off a single funnel) what they would do if…they lost EVERYTHING and had to start over from scratch in just 30 days. So yeah, that means they had NO product, NO email list, NO money, and no reputation. What Clickfunnel would they build and why?

The color and font of the CTA feels right and there aren’t too many CTAs to distract the visitor. Social proof with logos is good but can extend it by adding testimonials from real users. The body text explains the benefits but can be broken down into sections to have a better flow. Finally, the difference between a good first impression and a great one boils down to subtler aspects. Use logos with better resolution!”

There are popular and widely used systems in each software group. But are they automatically the best fit for your enterprise’s specific needs? A market-leading software application may have thousands of subscribers, but does it offer what you require? For this reason, do not blindly shell out for popular systems. Read at least a few ClickFunnels reviews and consider the aspects that you wish to have in the software such as the fees, main tools, available integrations etc. Then, select a few systems that fit your wants. Check out the free trials of these platforms, read online opinions, get clarifications from the maker, and do your research thoroughly. This profound research is certain to help you choose the finest software platform for your company’s unique wants.
Have a flawless design. Information architecture comes into play here, as it’s important for a landing page to have a clear, crisp design that leaves all questions answered without inspiring any new ones. Navigation should be obvious and simple, all required information should be provided, and nothing should come between the visitor and the conversion (aka no pop ups!) If at all possible, visitors should be able to convert in one click. Let every additional click weigh on your conscience like a heart beating beneath a floorboard.

Cons: The customer support has gotten worse recently. They used to have live chat on their site, now they use some weird ticketing software that I do not like. I will say this, there support is very good but a lot slower than I'd like. When they do get back to me, it typically solved my problem immediately. But sometimes it takes a full day or more for them to respond. This can be valuable lost time for a business, especially if you're running ads to a page that stops working.
Remove unnecessary words — Every word existing on your page must be necessary. If you can remove a word without it reducing how enticing, clear, or useful a sentence is, remove it. (Excess verbiage increases the visitor's labor, which triggers their impulse to skim.) A tip: avoid clichés like revolutionary, incredibly powerful, best-ever, and so on. Other products claim these qualities, so visitors are blind to them. It's better to specifically describe how you're different.
The purpose of the transactional landing page is to persuade a visitor to take action by completing a transaction. This is accomplished by providing a form that needs to be filled out. The visitor information is obtained in order to add the visitor’s email address to a mailing list as a prospect. Their homepage has an interesting graphic. It’s the first step of the sales funnel. A branding line similar to Mint.com’s, MailChimp’s slogan Being yourself makes all the difference really has nothing to do with the tool. That might be a good thing. It’s aspirational marketing not unlike Grasshopper above. It’s about identity, freedom, and self-expression — ideas that are bigger than a product.
